Can this lemon liqueur that is served chilled be made even more refreshing? Our answer is yes, when you make Villa Massa Sorrento Limoncello granita, a cold and refreshing creation that is a dessert and long drink rolled into one.

With limoncello granita, the refreshing and traditional Sicilian granita is combined with the invigorating and digestive powers of Sorrento limoncello. The result is a sweet, refreshing and distinctively Southern Italian creation that exudes all the goodness and fragrance of Sorrento PGI lemons in an iced bowl; it is perfect for finishing off a meal with a fresh and digestive dessert, as well as for an invigorating summer snack.


To prepare limoncello granita, bring a pot of water to boil, then add 200g sugar and 40g grated ginger. Remove from the heat and leave to cool. Once it has reached room temperature, add 250g lemon juice and 200ml Villa Massa Limoncello. Place in the freezer to chill, then serve cold in a classic cup or a simple glass, garnished with the grated zest of a Sorrento PGI lemon.
